  • About the Punch & Judy

Built in 1787, this pub was thought to be named after the puppet show performances that took place in the nearby piazza for the children of flower-sellers - Covent Garden originally being a flower market. This is a listed building and retains much of the original brick and stonework. It's known as being one of the very few buildings in the area that escaped bomb damage during the blitz.

This pub is 'world famous' and is located facing the west piazza and from this our balcony guests have the best view to watch the street performers.

As a Taylor Walker pub, we are proud to offer freshly prepared British pub food and high quality drinks. With experienced and friendly staff, whether you are a cask ale fan, love a chilled glass of white wine or a freshly ground cup of coffee, we will serve you in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

Join us for a classic British dish such as bangers and mash, a juicy rump steak burger and chips or a roast of the day seven days a week. Our pub food is freshly prepared and includes all your favourites. We also offer a range of sandwiches and jacket potatoes, all served by our welcoming and friendly team.
