The Marlborough Arms is a beautiful, old fashioned pub located in the heart of London on Torrington Place in Bloomsbury. Torrington Place was built on Cantlowes Close and the present boundary between the parishes of St. Pancras and St. Giles in-the-Fields runs along its centre, marking the southern limit of this part of the borough of St. Pancras. Our iconic pub food menu is packed with Great British pub food classics, including iconic dishes like our hand-battered fish and chips, pie and mash and succulent burgers. Our drinks include a great range of real ales and an extensive wine list.

The Marlborough Arms is named in reference to the coat of arms worn by the third and subsequent Duke of Marlborough, John Churchill. His ride to prominence began as a lowly page in the royal court of Stuart England, but his natural courage on the battle field, ensured quick promotion and recognition. Great Marlborough Street on which the pub lies is named in honour of John Churchill runs west to east through the western part Soho. A tablet formerly attached to a house at the corner of Great Marlborough Street and Fouberts passage (now Place) was inscribed ‘Marlborough Street 1704’. Out of one hundred peers summoned before the King in 1716, five lived in Great Marlborough Street.
